#1 Lake Country Trail: Pewaukee to Delafield

As it travels through Waukesha County in southeastern Wisconsin, this section of the Lake Country Trail has several places to stop for coffee, sweet baked goods, or ice cream treat. Starbucks and Crumbl Cookies are located by the trail at the intersection of Wisconsin State Highway 83. In downtown Delafield, two coffeehouses tempt trail-goers. Steeplechase Coffee Company and Blue Collar Coffee Company each serve a variety of tasty drinks.

#2 Glacial Drumlin State Trail: Wales to Waukesha

In the southeastern Wisconsin village of Wales, Mamma D’s Coffee is located alongside the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. Housed in a historic old bank, the coffee shop is a popular spot for trail-goers and local residents. In addition to coffee drinks, Mamma D’s serves baked goods, breakfast items, and a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Their outdoor patio is popular, and on summer weekends they feature local live music during lunch.

#3 Eisenbahn State Trail: Kewaskum to West Bend

As the Eisenbahn State Trail runs through the eastern central Wisconsin city of West Bend, it passes a trendy coffeehouse called The Hub. It’s an eco-conscious, community-supporting café located in a repurposed historic building. Menu items are thoughtfully sourced, including fair trade coffee roasted by Stone Creek Coffee in Milwaukee. The café offers a great selection of signature and seasonal drink options. And their breakfast items and sandwiches taste great. Don’t forget to tip- proceeds are distributed to 50+ local nonprofits. The Hub also houses the Volunteer Center of Washington County.

#4 Glacial Drumlin State Trail: Cottage Grove to Lake Mills

In southeast Wisconsin, the Glacial Drumlin State Trail begins in Cottage Grove. Next to the trailhead is the Olde Towne Coffee House. Their menu includes specialty coffee, pastries, hot skillets, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The café is open for breakfast and lunch, and has indoor and outdoor seating. In Deerfield, just two blocks north of the trail, is The Deerfield Coffeehouse. They offer coffee beverages, drinks, and breakfast items. The coffeehouse has a bike rack and spacious indoor seating area.

#5 Beloit Riverside Corridor Trails

When biking Beloit’s downtown trails, coffee-lovers may want to visit Bagels & More or Flying Pig Treat Shop. They both offer flavorful espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos, mochas, lattes and much more. Bagels & More has tempting specialty drinks named Snickers, Butter Fingers, Mint Mocha Royale, and Black Forest. They also serve breakfast and lunch menu items. Enjoy a bagel, breakfast skillet, or quiche, along with a cup of java.

#6 Bugline Trail: Sussex to Menominee Falls

In the southeastern Wisconsin village of Sussex on Main Street is Loca Latte. This pooular coffeehouse is located in the downtown areaa on Main Street. The Bugline Trail passes directly in front of the shop, so the business especially welcomes trail-goers. The menu includes a variety of gournet coffee drinks, sandwiches, baked goods, and desserts. Their main feature is a large outdoor patio with central fire pit.

#7 Red Cedar State Trail: Downsville to Chippewa River State Trail

On the Red Cedar State Trail in northwestern Wisconsin, it’s 350 yards from the Downsville trailhead to Scatterbrain Café. Here, trail-goers find artisanal, small-batch coffee from certified organic and fair trade beans. The coffee beans are roasted in-house. The food menu has homemade soups, and sides made with local artisan bread, meats, cheese, and produce. There’s a bike rack, and indoor or outdoor seating.

#8 Rountree Branch Trail: Platteville

Along the Rountree Branch Trail in the southwestern Wisconsin city of Platteville are three chain restaurants where trail-goers may enjoy a snack or meal. Adjacent to the path by U.S. Business Highway 151 are Dunkin’ Donuts, Culvers, and Baskin-Robbins. There’s plenty of food and drink options with these three restaurants being so close to the trail.

#9 White River State Trail: Elkhorn to Burlington

In the southeastern Wisconsin community of Springfield, Pedal & Cup is located on the White River State Trail next to the trailhead. It is housed in an old depot. The unique shop features fresh roasted coffee, along with live music, and bicycle rentals. The store has a gift shop and café. Pedal & Cup is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

#10 Pine Line Trail: Prentice to Westboro

In the tiny northern Wisconsin community of Ogema, The Rail Trail Café is located off the Pine Line Trail. In addition to a small selection of coffee beverages, this small-town diner features a full-service menu for every meal. The café is a convenient stop for cyclists passing through on the Pine Line Trail.

#11 CamRock Trail

The 2.4-mile CamRock Trail is located in southeastern Wisconsin. The path begins in Cambridge, travels south through CamRock County Park, and ends in Rockdale. Before or after a ride, trail-goers may want to visit Cambridge Market Café. This restaurant and specialty food and gifts shop is situated on Main Street in downtown Cambridge, only 400 feet from the tailhead. The café offers handcrafted specialty coffees and beverages, baked goods, and breakfast and lunch items served all day.

#12 Lower Yahara River Trail

Less than 300 feet from the Lower Yahara River Trail in the Madison metropolitan area is McFarland House Café. The quaint café is situated in the McFarland House, a large historic house that was built in 1857 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s Greek Revival architectural style makes the house quite visible in the downtown area of McFarland. From the trail, turn north on Exhange street. A variety of tasty coffee drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods await trailgoers who detour from the trail.

#13 Great River State Trail: Trempealeau To Marshland

The Great River State Trail passes through Trempealeau in west central Wisconsin. Not far off the trail in the downtown area of this Mississippi River village is Ma’s Kitchen@The Station. This coffee shop and deli serves hot espresso drinks, coffees, and teas, as well as frosty cold coffees, smoothies, and other refreshing beverages. The deli offers homemade, comfort food made with fresh ingredients. Visitors may dine in our take their meal to go.

#14 Tomorrow River State Trail: Plover to Amherst Junction

Mission Coffee House is in the Artist & Fare Shopping Center in Plover, not far from central Wisconsin’s Tomorrow River State Trail. They roast their own beans and serve a variety of hot and iced coffees. Food items include wraps, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The coffeehouse serves the community by donating $1 for every pound of coffee sold to local nonprofits. Public restrooms are in the shopping center, but there’s no outside bike racks.

#15 Tomorrow River State Trail: Scandinavia to Manawa

Several hundred yards north of the trailhead in Scandinavia is Scandihus, LLC. When biking the Tomorrow River State Trail in east central Wisconsin, cyclists may want to visit this shop to indulge in a specialty coffee and baked goods. The store also sells gifts and artwork that are unique to Scandinavian culture. It’s a local center for art, music, and literature.

#16 Fond du Lac Loop

Not far from the Prairie Trail on the Fond du Lac Loop is Starbucks. At the intersection with Wisconsin State Highway 23, bike east on a spur trail and through a parking lot for 350 yards to the coffehouse.
